Day 1: Sapa – O Quy Ho – Ban Khoang – Ta Giang Phinh – Ma Tra – Ta Phin
The journey commences at 8:30 am as our dedicated team arrives to collect you from either your hotel or our office nestled in the heart of Sapa. Today’s adventure promises a traverse through six villages, some of which remain undiscovered by the typical tourist crowds, not due to any lack of allure, but rather because of their rustic charm and secluded nature.
By 9:00 am, our convoy embarks on a picturesque route, passing through O Quy Ho village, a scenic enclave boasting verdant tea plantations, thriving vegetable plots, cacao farms, and vibrant flower gardens. A stop at a captivating viewpoint offers an opportunity to capture the endless beauty of the landscape, while observing the diligent work of the local farmers.
Continuing the journey, at 9:50 am, we arrive at Thac Bac waterfall, a majestic natural wonder and one of the largest waterfalls in Sapa, where the cascading waters create a mesmerizing spectacle.
By 10:20 am, our motorbike riders ascend to Tram Ton pass, also known as the “Heaven Gate,” standing tall at an impressive altitude of 2200 meters above sea level. From this vantage point, guests are treated to a panoramic vista of Sapa and the breathtaking landscape of Hoang Lien Son National Park. The sweeping views, especially on a clear day, offer a glimpse of the deep valleys and rugged terrain, with Tram Ton Pass resembling a colossal gateway ascending the mountains.
At 10:45 am, our journey continues as we venture towards Ban Khoang, Can Ho, and Ta Giang Phinh villages, navigating through winding roads that unveil stunning landscapes at every turn. Immersing ourselves in the vibrant cultural tapestry of the region, we visit Hmong and Red Dao families, gaining insight into their rich traditions and way of life.
Following a delightful lunch, our exploration extends to the old bridge, stone rock formations, and the most scenic rice paddies. The afternoon leads us to Ma Tra and Ta Phin villages, culminating in a homestay experience with a Red Dao minority family. Here, guests can partake in a cooking class led by the gracious hosts, savoring dinner accompanied by the local specialty, “happy water,” crafted from rice, wine, and beer.
Day 2: Sapa Motorcycle Road Trip to Ta Phin – Hang Da – Soi Chua – Y Linh Ho – Lao Chai – Ta Van – Ban Ho – Sapa
After a hearty breakfast, our tour guide leads the expedition deeper into the mountains, venturing towards Sau Chua and Hang Da Villages. En route, guests are treated to awe-inspiring vistas of majestic mountains and terraced rice fields, breathing in the crisp mountain air as they delve into the depths of the valley.
Ascending to the mountain peak offers a panoramic view of Sa Pha valley, where hidden Hmong and Dzao villages lie nestled beneath the verdant landscape. Today’s journey unveils two lesser-known villages, preserving age-old traditions and cultural heritage amidst the tranquil surroundings.
Continuing onwards, the road leads to the famed Muong Hoa Valley, home to five distinct villages and three diverse ethnic minorities, including the Day, Dao, and Tay communities. Lao Chai, Ta Van, Giang Ta Chai, Su Pan, and Ban Ho villages offer a glimpse into the unique customs and lifestyles of these indigenous groups, with a stop for lunch in Ban Ho village.
Post-lunch, the return journey winds through the scenic countryside, passing through paddy fields where locals toil under the sun. As chickens and buffaloes cross the path, guests are immersed in the rhythms of rural life. After a serene drive through Ta Van, the expedition concludes in Sapa around 4 pm, leaving guests with cherished memories of a captivating journey through the heart of Sapa’s cultural and natural wonders.
